Are dental implants in Bulgaria safe?
Yes. Bulgaria is an EU member state and dental clinics must meet full EU medical device regulations (MDR 2017/745). Top Sofia clinics use Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Osstem implants — the same brands used in UK and German clinics. The difference is in labour costs, not quality.
What materials do Bulgarian dentists use?
Leading Bulgarian clinics use international-standard materials: Ivoclar Vivadent e-max for veneers and crowns, Straumann/Nobel titanium implants, 3M composites for fillings. Many labs are VITA-certified. You can request the specific brand before booking.
How long will I need to stay in Bulgaria?
For single implants: 2 visits of 2–3 days each (3 months apart for osseointegration). All-on-4: 5–7 days in one stay. Veneers: 2 visits of 2–3 days. Your clinic will give you a full timeline before you travel.
What's included in the dental package price?
Reputable clinics include: consultation, X-rays/CBCT scan, all materials, surgeon/dentist fee, local anaesthesia, post-op medication and one follow-up. Always confirm what's included in writing before booking.
Do I get a guarantee on dental work abroad?

Can my UK dentist handle complications after treatment in Bulgaria?
